Michael R. Fletcher is a Virginia-based writer, illustrator, graphic designer, playwright, and author whose work ranges from children’s books and memoir writing to fiction, theater, and visual design.

Current projects include:

  • CAT and PIG, a children’s book series about friendship and adventure
  • One Flew Over the Conservative’s Nest, an ongoing memoir project
  • Not Much to Write About, a work-in-progress novel set in southwest Virginia
  • Clean Dry Socks, a stage play inspired by his grandfather’s World War I diary

With more than four decades of creative experience, Michael’s work blends humor, storytelling, Appalachian roots, and the occasional hard-earned lesson from life refusing to cooperate with the schedule.
