Clean Dry Socks: Diary of a Doughboy is an original stage play written by Michael R. Fletcher. The play is inspired by the World War I diary of Reese Melvin Russell of Southwest Virginia. Fletcher is the grandson of Russell.

Clean Dry Socks: Diary of a Doughboy had its world premiere in October 2018. The play was produced by River City Community Players, and directed by Alex Martin with the following cast:
